My Story
From a young age, I have felt a deep connection with the natural world. From this, I developed a reverence for trees, appreciating the unique expressions of these incredible life forms and, as a material its versatility, textures and characteristics. Over many years of working with wood, and whilst spending much of my life in the outdoors, I began to be drawn towards techniques which allowed the natural movement and characteristics become more present in my work. My furniture is a communication between the process and its unique form. This allows the natural shapes of the structure to come through and be admired in the finished pieces to ultimately pay homage back to its original source, the tree. Coupled with a desire to minimise impact on the planet, and to bring attention to reducing waste, all my furniture is made to be an heirloom, and are made from native wood.
